Like the new refridgerator. The lighting seems dull though. Also the fridge door on the side by side will not shut if you push the door to close it . If it is not past a certain point, it slowly falls open again. Frustrating. Even thoughit looks big on the outside, it is kind of small. And the ice maker does not put out much ice.

water dispenser poorly designed

This fridge was provided new with our newly built home this year (July of 2026). It was chosen by the company not us. Fridge/freezer keeps a consistent temperature and lighting is fine. There is not a drawer for cheeses and lunch meats as is the case in many other refrigerators. Water and ice dispenser on the outside of the freezer door is not designed well. Water dispenser leaks, even after multiple trips from a repair person and a phone call from the repair person to Whirlpool. We were basically told there is nothing Whirlpool can do. Ice dispenser is behind the water dispenser and is hard to get to without also dispensing water at the same time because the dispensing alcove is short. This makes a mess more often than not. Very disappointing for a fridge that is not even three months old.

The refrigerator is good but the most annoying features are the ice-maker and external dispenser. The external ice maker ALWAYS throws pieces of ice to the floor no matter how close you get the cup. At the same time, if you do not angle your cup just right, you will mistakenly hit the water dispenser. I think the design flaw was in trying to combine the two. Overall, it cools and freezes well and has more space than my last.

This fridge is functionally adequate because it keeps food cold and has an ice maker that my husband likes to use. It is better than not having a fridge. However, it is lacking storage space. As a result of the ice maker, the freezer barely fits a few basic things. The fridge somehow has frustratingly deficient space. Only tall, skinny or stackable things fit inside. How much of what you want to chill is drinks or stackable? I previously had a smaller fridge/freezer in a condo, and I could fit way more inside. What went wrong here?! I would love the opportunity to exchange this side-by-side model for a top fridge/bottom freezer even if I had to spend more out of pocket.

Not a very spacious interior, especially on the freezer side. Don't like the ice and water dispenser setup the way they are stacked in front of each other. It's difficult to fill larger containers like Stanley cups efficiently.

Refrigerator and Freezer keep things fresh. The only downside is the water and ice dispenser. When we use a refillable thermos many times the water pours when you are getting ice. Also, there is no catch basin on this model so we had to improvise and place a dish cloth so water doesn™€™t spill down the front of the refrigerator l.

1 Star ™€“ Save Your Money This refrigerator has been a huge disappointment. The ice maker produces very little ice, even after two service calls and a replacement ice maker. Our family of three has to buy bags of ice just to keep up. The ice and water dispenser is poorly designed. If you use a Yeti or Stanley-style cup, ice flies everywhere, and it's easy to accidentally activate the water dispenser, making a mess. To make matters worse, the water dispenser continues to drip after every use, leaving water running down the stainless steel door and onto the floor. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and buy a different model..

I am not sure why, but one door has a matte finish, and the other has a glossy finish. The glossy door has some dents. When the ice setting is on cubed, it still releases crushed pieces. The cup area does not accommodate a standard-size cup, so water and ice will shoot out, leaving streaks all over the front of the refrigerator. It's neither very appealing nor functional.

I purchased a manufacturered home and all appliances are Whirlpool. After the house was delivered and we had electricity, we plugged it in. The next day we were going to start putting food in it. The refrigerator was not cold and neither was the freezer. We called Whirlpool so they could get someone to service it. We live in Jefferson and they set us up with company out of Houston. On the day they were supposed to service it, the serviceman called and said it was showing up on his end that it was in Kema. So then I had to call Whirlpool again to get everything corrected. Whirlpool called the next day to say that they didn't have anyone in our area to service it, and that I would have to find my own repairman, pay all fees and wait for Whirlpool to reimburse me. This was a brand new unit that never worked! The sales rep where we purchased the home got involved and called Champion Homes that built it. Even after all of this, it took 3 weeks before someone called to set up appointment. By that time Marshal Mobile Homes had gone out and purchased us another one and had it delivered. Thank goodness for them! I would NEVER go out and purchase anything that Whirlpool makes!

This is the loudest refrigerator I or anyone I've known has ever had, and it's within its first year of service. An 8yr old Electrolux is quieter, a 1yr old GE runs quieter, and even a Samsung runs quieter - and they were all cheaper than this one. I do not recommend this model to anyone looking to purchase a new refrigerator. In addition to the noise, the water dispenser spurts at the end of each dispenser, causing water stains down the face of the fridge.
