Great coil burners

Love the burners, they get so hot so fast and adjust temps quickly too. Bonus, you can replace them yourself if they stop working. Our last range had a ceramic cook top. When a burner stopped working it cost us $169.00 to have it looked at and they wanted over $400.00 to replace ONE burner. The only advice is that you will need heavier saucepans because the spring-loaded button in the center tends to make light weight pans tilt and not heat evenly. I use a clip-on spoon holder to balance my pans.

This range was defective from day one and Amana Customer Service has not provided satisfaction! At first they assigned a local repair technician who did not even return my call after two weeks. I again called Amana Customer Service who confirmed that the repair shop did not answer their call, and I was told I wouldcreceive a call regarding another repair shop within 3 days! Today is day 3 and I have yet to receive a call! I received a voice mail from the original repair shop who had initially said that he was ordering a door switch for the oven light and then never got in touch with 60yrsme, saying there is no door switch and that the problem is in the control panel and then he hung up, not offering to repair the range! This is unacceptable! I bought a defective product and I expect this situation to be fixed

Try this again. Overall, good basic electric range. I had a similar Amana stove for 37 years. The best is the oven door works better and has nice big window. I don't like that the oven light does not come on when the door is open, the center of one burner makes a dinging noise and no instructions on setting time and timer. I bought an oven thermometer to monitor the oven temperature and compare it to old stove, since is different (to be expected probably). If this does not get recodred, I will not do this a third time.

As Good as My Previous Amana

I previously owned an Amana ARR-405. I looked for a stove that was similar and bought this one. I like the bigger oven window and brighter oven light. It is a very good basic electric range. They have improved the oven door. In the old days, we would get an owner's manual. It would tell me how to set the time, timer, etc. Nowadays we have to figure it out on our own. I was happy that the installer set the time. The owner's manual online does not include this. I don't like following: the oven racks don't slide smoothly (really tight) when the oven is hot, the oven light does not come on when I open the door (have to manually turn it on), the heating element in oven makes weird sounds and the middle part of the 2 small coil elements make an annoying dinging sound at the slightest touch. My old oven ran a little hot and so I knew the new one would be different. It is different and I bought an oven thermometer to monitor what this one does.

I should have known better than to buy an appliance from Lowe's and supported a smaller local buysiness but was caught in a jam right before Christmas needing a new stove. Upon arrival of the stove a week later, we realized the oven temperature was actually lower by 75 degrees than stated. I called the store and was told by customer service that "they don't know how to fix it" and there's a 48 hour return policy which was never mentioned when paying for the stove. I was told the return policy stickers are on the desks. I went back in the store and saw that the return policy sticker is on the front of the desk where I paid beneath the register. The manager of the department rang me up and never mentioned this 48 hour return policy or even suggest leaning over to squint and read the policy on the desk while wrapped up in paying him and giving him my delivery info. Meanwhile, the oven ruined over $250 in food we attempted to cook with it's 75 degree difference since we tried to salvage Christmas dinner for our family. Not to mentiion, I was also told I'd have to take it up with the Lowe's fulfillment center out of Syracuse even though I paid in Hornell. I didn't hire a third party to get involved but that's the answer I was given. Incredibly unhelpul as they had no problem taking my money. I ended waiting a week for the repair person who I had to call using the warranty I purchased.

Troubleshooting Oven Heat Consistency Issues!

Burners are okay as it can boil a pot/kettle of water pretty quickly. The big problem is the oven heat is 75 degrees Fahrenheit off, which makes roasting and baking very frustrating and unnecessarily complicated. Is there a way to 'calibrate' this oven to set a temperature for it to remain at the temperature you set it at? Raw potatoes and sad loaves of bread shouldn't be happening with a new oven. Our oven thermometer is very reliable, seeing it through the large viewing window makes it puzzling since the control guide inaccurately states "the oven provides accurate temperatures" when it very clearly does not appear so.

I was cynical going in, knowing the new stove would be inferior to our 20 year old one. I have been proven right. A burner has already been replaced before 30 days, the lower drawer doesn't work without getting on your knees to put it back together, the oven takes forever to preheat, there is virtually no preheat or cook time alarm.

This has got to be the the absolute worst stove I have ever owned! What idiot designs a unit with a temp sensor built in to it? When you are right I the middle of cooking on a unit the thing turns it's self off! I called a repair tech because I thought there had to be something wrong with the stove, I was told this is how the stove units are designed, after about 5 minutes the units are turned off by the heat sensor that is built into the center of each unit. Do not buy this stove unless you want to use the heat for only two or three minutes!!

It works like every other stove; turn it on and it gets hot, just like it should. The only thing I will say is that the timer noise is inadequate. It is barely hearable outside the kitchen and does not keep going until it is shut off. The whole reason for a timer and alarm noise is to not have to hang out in the kitchen. Make them louder and continuous until shut off!!!!

Our propane company called and said they were picking up our tank as we weren't using enough. ?? So we bought this electric stove. We like the knobs on top, because our dogs tend to jump up in search of food tidbits and had accidentally turned on the propane burners a couple times. The only thing we didn't like was when you turn a burner on 1/2 way, you couldn't easily tell which burner was on. I fixed that by adding white paint dots on the knobs as in the picture. Two or three times my said "I like our new stove" which is really saying something as we do not like to cook.

Easy to use

Love it .. Love every inch of my beautiful stove ! The oven is spacious I had no issues with the burners.. All my meals are delicious cooked.. So happy I bought this stove..

I purchased this stove less than a month ago and the back burner has stopped working. The return policy at the store is 72 hours so now I have to go through the warranty process, an aggravating inconvenience that I dread.
